Garden University offers a variety of gardening classes and workshops hosted by experts in the field. Topics include gardening, cooking, landscaping, traveling and more!
Garden admission applies for attendees and are free for Garden members & volunteers. Workshops with take-home materials may require additional fees. Tickets to Garden University programs may require pre-registration (see below schedule to register). Become a Garden member to receive free Garden admission and discounted workshop tickets.

Brewing 101 with Gilgamesh Brewing
June 8th | 6pm – 8pm
Join Gilgamesh Brewing at The Oregon Garden for a night of craft-brew fun with beer tastings and a home-brewing demonstration! This workshop will take place on the back patio of the Oregon Garden Resort with drinks and snacks available to order for your enjoyment throughout the demo. This event will be $5 for members, and $15 for the general public.
The class registration fee will not include Garden admission as it takes place after the Garden has closed for the evening. Thank you for your understanding.
Floral Foraging – Arrangement Workshop with Chas Thompson
July 20th | 6pm – 8pm
Join us and Chas Thompson of Wildflower Portland, a professional florist now based here with us in beautiful Silverton, Oregon, for a fun floral arrangement workshop! All floral material, and greenery will be foraged from The Oregon Garden during the class time so wear your walking shoes and lets go on a field trip! No supplies or previous experience required, other than a vase from home if you wish. Chas will discuss plant selection, how to create shape and volume, and give recommendations for color and texture combinations. You can view more of her work here.
This class will take place from 6-8 PM and meet in the Trillium Room at the Oregon Garden Resort (follow signs to the top of the hill, for “Resort”). The class fee is $25 for non-members, and $10 for members. See how you can become a member for discounted tickets and free Garden admission!
