Memorial Programs

Through our memorial programs, The Oregon Garden is honored to provide various opportunities to remember a loved one, commemorate a special occasion or make a dedication. We thank you for considering the Garden as the site for your memorial; all funds directly support our mission.

Memorial Bricks

The most popular and most affordable memorial option is our Pathway to Giving memorial brick program, wherein a custom engraved brick will be placed in the Garden. We offer three different brick sizes, which are placed in specific locations throughout the Garden. Bricks are installed twice a year, in March and September. Orders must be received at least 30 days in advance to be included in the next placement.

Footprint Brick • $125

4″ x 8″. Accommodates two lines of text. 18 characters per line. Placed in path encircling the Garden Green.

Pathway Brick • $250

8″ x 8″. Accommodates three lines of text. 18 characters per line. Placed in Visitor Center courtyard.

Wayfinder Brick • $500

12″ x 12″. Accommodates three lines of text. 20 characters per line. Placed in Firesafe House front patio.

Memorial Trees

Tree dedications serve as living memorials that contribute to the beauty of the Garden, and are a wonderful way to honor a loved one or commemorate a special occasion. Garden staff will recommend up to four varieties of tree to choose from, as well as one or more appropriate locations, and a sign will be placed at the base of the new tree honoring your loved one. Please refer to our Memorial Tree Policy for more information. In order to ensure the longevity and survivability of memorial trees, planting occurs only in the fall. Memorial trees are dedicated in recognition of a gift of $3,000.

Memorial Benches

Bench dedications represent a unique and limited opportunity to memorialize, commemorate or recognize a loved one or special occasion. Benches are made of either basalt or teak, and feature either an engraving or plaque through which you may share a personal message. Type and location of benches are subject to staff approval to ensure adherence to the Garden’s Master Plan.

Benches are dedicated in recognition of a gift of $10,000.
