Clowning Around

at The Oregon Garden

Join Maestro the friendly clown for a day of fun at The Oregon Garden!

Saturday, August 14th

10am to 2pm

Included with Garden admission.

Maestro the clown will be inviting guests to join him for a series of fun and silly activities throughout the day. Guests are invited to come and go as they wish. Times listed are approximate, and parents are asked to remain with their children at all times while enjoying the Garden.

  • 10 – 10:30 Clown Tour
    Maestro will lead children from the Visitor’s Center to the Children’s Garden, pointing out and engaging with interesting Garden features like the Rain Curtain, peanut butter tree and Bufo the Toad along the way.
  • 10:45 – 11:15 Clown Show
    Maestro will entertain his audience with a 30-minute rehearsed show that includes clown tricks, magic tricks and more designed to delight! Show will take place in the Children’s Garden Amphitheater.
  • 11:15 – 11:40 Clown Crafts
    Join Maestro for clown crafts in the Children’s Garden! Maestro will assist children in creating balloon and newspaper hats as well as signs which kids can wear in the parade to follow, as well as handing out stickers.
  • 10:40 – 12:00 – Clown Parade
    Maestro will lead children wearing theirs hats, holding signs and with other silly accessories from the Children’s Garden back to the Visitor Center, where he will pose with guests for pictures.
  • 12:30 – 2:00 – Clowning Around
    After a break for lunch, Maestro will continue to perform roaming entertainment for Garden guests in the areas adjacent to the Visitor Center, as well as be available for photos.
