The Oregon Garden has a variety of volunteer opportunities that are suitable for groups of 5 or more. We partner with a wide range of corporate, community, faith and educational groups to provide Oregonians and tourists with a thriving 80 acre botanical garden that showcases the diverse botanical beauty that can be found in the Willamette Valley and throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Volunteer groups are welcome to volunteer throughout the year with our Horticulture Department in the Garden as well as at our many Special Events. Occasionally we have special projects that need group volunteers. These projects will be posted on this page as they become available.
Volunteering with Horticulture may mean planting annuals (spring), raking, weeding, clearing invasive species, and other gardening tasks.
Volunteering with special events may include positions such as Greeter, Line Control, Backstock, Server (Brewfest), Information Booth, Children’s Activity Assistants, and more.
We offer somewhat flexible volunteer scheduling. Most horticulture volunteer opportunities are offered Monday – Saturday, with the latest time at 1pm. Shifts are generally 3 to 4 hours, but contact the Volunteer Coordinator if you have different time needs.
Special event shifts are usually 4 hours and our special events often occur on the weekends and evenings. Please see our Events page for a full list of special events.
