The Oregon Garden is open 365 days a year.

  • May – September 9am to 6pm
  • October – April 10am to 4pm

The complimentary, narrated Tram Tour runs daily April – October.

On days when the Visitor Center is not open, admission to the Garden can be obtained at the front desk of the Oregon Garden Resort.

Oregon Garden Gift Shop

Visitor Center

Our Visitor Center is your first stop when visiting The Oregon Garden. Our knowledgeable staff will help you purchase admission and provide you with a Garden map, to help you plan your visit. While here, you can also purchase an annual membership and gather information about upcoming special events.

 

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop is located in the Visitor Center and features something for everyone, including unique, locally-crafted gifts and souvenirs, a wide selection of books, premium gardening tools and locally-crafted wine. Children will also enjoy the variety of garden and nature-themed toys available.

               

Garden Cafe

The Garden Cafe is located in the Visitor Center and offers ice cream, specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and lunch items, including soups, sandwiches and wraps. Take a look at a sample Garden Cafe Menu. The Cafe uses herbs and produce from the Garden to create specialty items whenever possible. The Garden Cafe also offers a variety of locally-crafted beer and wine, that you can enjoy while strolling through the Garden.

Additional meal options are available at the Oregon Garden Resort’s Garden View Restaurant, open for lunch 11:30am to 2pm and dinner 5:30pm to 9pm. Make your reservation:

Retail Nursery

The Retail Nursery is located at the entrance to the Visitor Center, and features a selection of beautiful plants, all grown by our knowledgeable horticulture staff. Take a little piece of the Garden home with you!

 

Tram Tour

Tram tours are complimentary with paid admission, and offer a 25-minute narrated tour of the Garden, stopping at six points throughout the Garden for you to get on or off, to explore on your own. There are 44 seats on the tram, and priority seating is given to those with disabilities. Pets are not allowed on the tram, only trained service and guide dogs are allowed.

               

Wheelchairs

The Garden is ADA compliant. Wheelchairs are available to check out from the Visitor Center at no charge, on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Gordon House

Adjacent to The Oregon Garden, is the Frank Lloyd Wright Gordon House. The house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1957 and was moved to The Oregon Garden in 2002. It is the only Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building in Oregon and the only one in the Pacific Northwest that is open to the public.  Inquire with the Gordon House to book a tour with their knowledgeable docents: 503-874-6006.

 

Oregon Garden Resort

While visiting the Garden, we invite you to make a weekend of it, and stay overnight at the relaxing Oregon Garden Resort. The 103 guest rooms each feature a fireplace and private patio, while the main lodge offers the full-service Moonstone Spa, Garden View Restaurant and Fireside Lounge, with happy hour specials and live music nightly.

The Oregon Garden is the perfect place for amateur and professional photographers to hone their skills and capture nature’s beauty throughout the year.

We welcome you to pay general admission and take photos of the Garden anytime during open hours.

Professional Photographers

We welcome you to pay general admission and take photos of the Garden anytime during open hours. If you are taking photos to sell them and make a profit, we require that you are a Photography Member.

Family, Wedding & Senior Portraits

If you would like to use the Garden as a backdrop for your family portraits, wedding photography, high school senior pictures, etc. we ask that each person, along with the photographer, pays general Garden admission.

 

Picnicking

We encourage you to bring a picnic lunch, or purchase lunch from our Garden Cafe, to enjoy in the Garden. Please only use designated picnic areas, and no outside alcohol or radios are allowed.

If you are interested in reserving a designated space for a company picnic, birthday or large family reunion, we have a variety of spaces available. Please inquire on availability and pricing at 503-874-2517 or info@oregongarden.org.

 

Group Tours

We enjoy welcoming groups to The Oregon Garden throughout the year, and our Group Tours Coordinator is happy to help you coordinate ordering boxed lunches from our Garden Cafe, scheduling a specialty walking tour, or planning an itinerary for the surrounding area.

We offer a discounted rate of $8 per person, for groups of 15 or more paying visitors arriving at the same time, when scheduled with our Group Tours Coordinator.

All visitors, including group tour participants, have unlimited access to the narrated tram tour of The Oregon Garden at no additional cost. The tram holds up to 44 passengers and can accommodate passengers with limited mobility.

Policies

At The Oregon Garden, we wish to promote a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests. When visiting the Garden, please adhere to the following rules:

  • Pets must be on leash at all times, leash not to exceed 8′. Please pick up after your pet.
  • Please lock bikes in racks. Bikes are not allowed on garden paths.
  • No skateboards, roller skates, frisbees, scooters or similar objects in the Garden.
  • No jogging or running in the Garden.
  • No outside alcohol or BBQ equipment. Please picnic in designated areas only.
  • The Garden is a smoke-free zone.
  • No fireworks or weapons.
  • No radios.
  • Amateur photographers welcome. Professional and commercial photography by appointment only.
  • All visitors are required to wear shirts and shoes.
  • For your own safety, please stay on garden paths and out of water features.

If you are traveling North on I-5 from the Eugene area.

  1. Take the Keizer/Chemawa Exit, exit 260.
  2. Turn right off the ramp onto Chemawa Rd. to head east towards Silverton.
  3. Stay straight at the intersection where Chemawa becomes Hazelgreen Road.
  4. You will arrive at a four-way stop, stay straight to remain on Hazelgreen Road.
  5. At the next four-way stop, turn right onto Howell Prairie Road.
  6. At the following four-way stop, turn left onto Silverton Road.
  7. Turn right at the light onto Westfield St. You will pass a Dairy Queen, Safeway and Robert Frost Middle School.
  8. At the stop sign, turn right onto Main Street/Cascade Highway. The Garden is just a short way down the road on the left hand side. Follow the driveway up the hill to the Visitor Center.

 

If you are traveling South on I-5 from the Portland area.

  1. Take the Brooks Exit, exit 263. Turn left off the ramp to head east towards Silverton.
  2. At the intersection with blinking red light, turn right onto Hwy 99E.
  3. Turn Left onto Hazelgreen Road
  4. You will arrive at a four-way stop, stay straight to remain on Hazelgreen Road.
  5. At the next four-way stop, turn right onto Howell Prairie Road.
  6. At the following four-way stop, turn left onto Silverton Road.
  7. Turn right at the light onto Westfield St. You will pass a Dairy Queen, Safeway and Robert Frost Middle School. You’ll soon reach a stop sign where a large church stands in front of you.
  8. Turn right onto Main Street/Cascade Highway. The Garden is just a short way down the road on the left hand side. Follow the driveway up the hill to the visitors center.
