Come to the Garden and try our newest activity: Geocaching!

This activity is perfect for families, and we have a variety of caches, for both experienced geocachers and those new to the idea. There are public and private caches placed throughout the Garden and Resort grounds:

  • Public Caches: The public caches listed on geocaching.com are permanent and we invite you to find them during Garden hours. Admission is required (Garden members and Oregon Garden Resort guests receive free admission from sunrise to sunset). There is no cost beyond admisssion to find these caches. A passport may be requested at the admissions desk in the Visitor Center or at the Resort front desk.
  • Private Caches: A number of additional caches are placed on the grounds that will not be listed on geocaching.com. These caches are family friendly and are a great activity to add to your visit. Caches are available in three tracks. Tracks may be purchased at the Visitor Center or Resort front desk for $5 per track. These private tracks serve as a fundraiser for our GPS mapping project, which will help us map our plants and create an interactive, searchable plant database on our website.

GPS units may be rented for $20 (limited number available) at the Visitor Center or Resort front desk.

Learn more about geocaching at www.geocaching.com. We look forward to helping you on your next geocaching adventure!

Turn in your passport and completed survey to be entered into a drawing to win an Oregon Garden membership or room stay at the Oregon Garden Resort.
