Thank you to the 5,000 guests who joined us on July 3rd for Silverton Day, great food and drink, live music and a beautiful fireworks display, planned by the Oregon Garden Foundation & presented by Roth’s Fresh Markets.
Schedule of events
Free admission for all guests begins at 6pm
Live music begins at 7pm
Fireworks begin at 10pm
Live music continues 10:30-11:30pm
We received great feedback on our new and more intimate fireworks show, which we debuted in 2013, and we plan to host the same type of show in 2016. The fireworks display will begin around 10pm.
In response to the tree growth, fire hazard and safety issues, the fireworks display will again be held on the hill located just west of the Oregon Garden Resort’s main lodge, and will include a show that is designed just for this venue. The Oregon Garden Foundation has worked with Western Display Fireworks to utilize new technologies, often reserved for sporting events held in indoor stadiums, to create a more intimate show and up-close viewing opportunities.
Because of this, the fireworks will be best viewed from within The Oregon Garden, namely the Silverton Market Garden and Axis Garden, and views from outside areas will be obstructed. This intimate show also allows for guests to be quite close to the fireworks launch site, which could impact guests with noise sensitivities.
For our ADA guests, we suggest parking at the Visitor Center and viewing the fireworks from the Bosque.
We will host live music in Founder’s Square, in the Silverton Market Garden from 7 to 10pm, then again following the fireworks, from about 10:30 to 11:30pm. Avoid the traffic and stay for the second set – the food and beverage booths will remain open until about 11:15pm.
This year’s performance will be by The FlexTones.
Are you a musician interested in playing this event in the future? Please fill out our Musician Inquiry Form.

The Oregon Garden is pet-friendly, but we ask that you do not have your pets in the Garden after 6pm on July 3rd. The fireworks tend to scare animals, and we have had numerous runaway pets in the past. Please keep your pets safe.
Annually, the fireworks display costs between $10,000 and $15,000, and is paid for by the Oregon Garden Foundation. Donations are being sought to help offset the cost of the fireworks display, and we would love your help.
Donations can be made by sending payment to the Oregon Garden Foundation at P.O. Box 155, Silverton, OR 97381, by contacting staff at 503-874-2535, email@example.com or online:
Seating is first-come, first-served. We recommend bringing sand chairs (short lawn chairs) and blankets to sit on while enjoying the music and fireworks. Tall chairs can be used, but will need to sit in the back so all guests can see.
We are expecting hot weather on July 3rd. The fireworks viewing area doesn’t have much shade, which is why it’s so great for viewing fireworks, but please plan accordingly and be safe!
