The Oregon Garden is excited to announce our 9th Annual Earth Day Celebration. Theme: Green Footprints. The Oregon Garden is going green! This year's focus is on methods and meanings for lessoning our impact on the enviornment and natural resources, thereby "walking with green footprints." This year’s event is sponsored by Marion County Public Works- Environmental Services, SPROut Program at The Oregon Garden, and several other local supporters. GRAND HALL:

OAN ROOM:
10:30-11:30 Oregon PeaceWorks- “The 5% Solution to Reducing Your Carbon Footprint, one green step at a
time”
12:00-1:00 Julien Huerta of Green Life Living Foods- raw food ‘un-cooking' demo

3:00-4:00 John Mayer / ODF staff: Low Impact Footprints for Recreational Activities (‘leave no trace')
GREENHOUSE CAFÉ:
Recycled art activity for kids, coordinated by Marion County ES staff. Recycled materials will be available for kids to create projects based on a suggested theme. This SUPERVISED activity will include hammers/nails, hot glue guns, scissors, etc.
CHILDREN'S GARDEN:
Join Oregon Forest Resources Institute and several partnering organizations for kids activities, including a tree seedling give-away, pine cone bird feeders, flower/leaf press construction, paper-making, and tours focusing on backyard plants.
MUSIC / FOOD:
All music performances will be held under a tent in the BOSQUE . Food will be available from several different vendors in the Bosque and in the Garden Cafe.

TOURS :
All tours start in front of the Visitors' Center, on the Café side, and will last about 30 minutes. All tours are led by Oregon Garden Horticulture staff.
