Mendocino Brewing Company
The Mendocino Brewing Company is internationally renowned as a brewer of full flavored traditional ales. The company was established in 1982 as California's first brewpub and is recognized as a pioneer in the American Craft Brewing renaissance. The year 2003 volume of the brewery was 60,871 bbls (+3.85%) and it is the 9 th largest craft brewer selling beer in the Western States. The brewpub is located in Hopland,, California and the new brewery is located in Ukiah, California, about 110 miles north of San Francisco on US 101.
Mendocino Red Tail Ale
Red Tail Ale – The Legend – is the flagship brand of the brewery. It is brewed in the traditional “old world” manner, using premium two-row malted barley, whole hops and our own proprietary yeast strain. It's an amber ale with rich, complex, refreshing flavor and crisp, dry, finish. Red Tail Ale is “bottle conditioned” , like a good wine. Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement for most foods.

Mendocino Eye of the Hawk
Eye of the Hawk is an excellent strong, rich bodied ale that is “bottle conditioned” to perfection. “Eye” is coppery reddish-amber in color and its unique taste is the result of a judicious mix of caramel and pale malted barley, balanced with Cluster, Cascade, and Saaz hops. This gives the ale its luxurious flavor, substantial mouth-feel and that slightly dry finish.
