CULTIVATE THE VISION Yellow Fern

The Oregon Garden is a dynamic place, where plants, trees and flowers require daily care and attention. Supporting this ongoing effort is where we need your help.

On May 1, 2003, The Oregon Garden announced a five-year Cultivate the Vision Campaign, which will support the display and ongoing care of plants, shrubs and trees that illustrate the ingenuity and creativity of Oregon's nursery industry. The Campaign's goal is to reach nursery operators and others throughout the state with the story about the remarkable accomplishments at The Garden since it's opening, and to ask for assistance.

Volunteers from the Oregon Association of Nurseries have signed on as Campaign Team Members to talk individually to people who wish to become involved in The Garden's development and welfare. These teams are now ready to help The Oregon Garden secure more than $500,000 in annual support over the next five years, for a total of $2.5 million

Soon after The Oregon Garden was founded by the Oregon Association of Nurseries in the mid-1990's, nursery operators contributed $2 million to start the ambitious job of creating a horticultural landmark on a grand, sloping hillside in Silverton. That $2 million was leveraged to more than $20 million from foundations, corporations, individuals (non nursery related), businesses, and federal and state governments.

We believe the interest and commitment of OAN members will again be a deciding factor in our future success in gaining private and public support to sustain the horticultural integrity of The Oregon Garden.

“Please join me in cultivating this vision of a magnificent showcase of the #1 agricultural industry in Oregon.”
