REDICOVERY FOREST EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The forestry education program at the Oregon Garden is in partnership with the Oregon Forest Resources Institute (OFRI), allowing us to bring students statewide to study forestry. The Oregon Forest Resources Institute was created by the legislature to improve the publics understanding of Oregon’s forest resources. This partnership is able to provide programs at no cost to many schools and organizations in Oregon, while providing an excellent forestry education experience.
Students are offered a range of activities involving tree biology, wildlife habitat, plant identification and forest ecology and management in the Oregon Garden Rediscovery Forest. The forestry program is structured to meet Oregon Department of Education benchmarks and content standards. Our Forestry Educators and staff can customize this program to meet your individual needs and preferences.
