ENVIRONMENTAL
EDUCATION PROGRAMSYellow Fern

OVERVIEW

The Environmental Education program focuses on 5th grade students from all over Oregon.

Field trips for 5th graders are provided at no cost to the schools with funding coming from the Roth Benefit Education Foundation and its sponsors.

Students are taught a variety of environmental and biological subjects that take advantage of The Oregon Garden setting and are appropriate to the age level of the students. These “hands-on” lessons are geared to match the educational bench marks set by the state and include subjects such as habitat, tracking, birds, aquatic life, insects, pollination, plant adaptation, journaling, wildlife field studies, and more.
